I am the principal artist at Indalo Art, based near Mojacar in Almeria, south east Spain. I design, make and sell holistic jewelry based on the good luck symbol of the Indalo - a rainbow-man type figure made famous by Leonado da Vinci with his Vitruvian Man, the ancient North American Indian tribes of the Sioux, the Hopi and the Cree and, most importantly by the Neolithic civilisations of southern Spain some 4,500 years ago. My holistic jewelry necklaces make the perfect gift to say Congratulations, Best Wishes, With Love, and Good Luck . . or simply: 'Be lucky and avoid BAD luck' - and they particularly appeal to people interested in a more ethical lifestyle. I am also a Portrait Artist - for a long time at a local Golf Resort Hotel and in the course of painting local people, began depicting the most famous character in southern Spain - the Indalo.
The pebbles for the charmstone jewelry, (available on www.IndaloArt.com or www.good-luck-gifts.com), are sourced in the region of the Indalo caves and then sorted and graded by shape, size and feel to select the best possible pebbles for the particular item of jewelry or charmstone. The good luck symbol of the Indalo is then painted on - to provide that extra emotional appeal of a good luck charm which is then hand-crafted into lucky charm necklaces or other pebble jewelry and holistic gifts. Because nature itself has produced the raw stones over millions of years and each one is then hand-painted and hand-crafted into an INDIVIDUAL charm stone, lucky charm necklace or other item of holistic jewelry, every piece is a one-off item.
I am a member of the Portrait Society of America and the Royal Society of Portrait Artists. My original portraits on this site are in pastels.
